For He Who Made Thee

listen to Urdu recitation of this naat
(audio source: owaisqadri.com)

For He Who made thee His Mercy one and all
For He Who made your Aastaana (sanctuary) by which we beg and plead
For Thee are only praises, for Thee is only awe

Who made you (O Beloved ) the highest over all
Who made you (O Blessed ) the giver far and wide
Who made you (O Muhammad ) the hand that breaks their fall
Who made you the Greatest Shafi’ for deeds they cannot hide

Was the likes of thee (O Muhammad) ever created, seen or sent?
The Pure and Blessed Maryam, the result of Nafakhtu Feeh
What an awesome sign of Greatness –revived, spoke and went!
Yet the Beloved of Aamina, like him none will ever be

So said he at Sidrah, the one who’d seen it all
High and low I’ve been, yet none compares to thee
For you were made unique by He Who is Unique

Fa idha Faraghta Fansab is what were you allotted
So now that you’ve become the one that seekers sought
Arise from your labor for time has come to give
And distribute to mankind from destiny We decided

Wa ilal iIaahi Farghab and speak what they would seek
For thus they keep returning to thee again and all,
So be for them a shade that they so dearly need
An intercessor for their wrong for they are only weak

O you who seek your Owner, please help me find my heart?
I’m sure I had it with me now somewhere here or there
So tell me what has happened?
For none had come nor gone

O Raza, it wasn’t easy to find your heart again
For near the Door of Heaven (the Prophet's Rauza), I gazed upon his light
So ask me not I found him, ask me not he seemed!

At times I found him smiling with blessed petals of fragrance
Again I found him weeping for us in layers of darkness
At times I found him sorting through sadness unrelenting
But then I found him joyful through moments of silent happiness
For reason none could gather, nor reason he’d announce

At times I’d see his blessed feet besides my face on earth
Again I’d see him waiting at the door of his Beloved
With his blessed face submitted in absolute submission
In a step was found to be, the Throne, the Sought, the Beloved

At times my heart would crackle and the burst became aflame
Again my heart would drip and the rain became relentless
At times the attack of accusations again and now again
Then a cloud had spread its shade from a source undiscovered
And thus with so much struggle my heart returned to same

For He Who made thee His Mercy one and all
For Thee are only praises, for Thee is only awe
For high and low I’ve been, yet none compares to thee
As the Beloved of Aamina, none there could ever be

The Model of Beauty
The Ocean of Mercy

Husn Kaa Payker Hain Vo , Rahmat Kaa Daryaa Hain Vo
Saansen Jin Se Zinda Hain, Baqaa-e-Zindagi Hain Vo

He is the model of beauty, the ocean of mercy
Through which breath is sustained, He is that Sustainer of life

Aap Key Noor Se Roshan Huwa Aalam Saara
Noor-e-Khuda Hain, Khuda Ki Roshan Daleel Hain Vo

Your Light illuminated all the worlds
You are the Light of Allah, the luminous proof of Allah

Aap Ki Rahmat Ney Kiya Sayraab Roo-e-Zameen Ko
Rab Ki Rahmat Hain, Ramatul-lil-Aalameen Hain Vo

Your mercy satiated the earths
He is the mercy of the Lord, He is the mercy to the worlds

Yai Asmaan, Ye Baadal, Ye Zameen Ki Bahaaren
Zinda Hain Jin Key Dam Se Sab, Jaane-Aalam Hain Vo

These skies, these clouds, the spring of this earth
Are alive through whom, He is that life of the world

Is Zameen Se Arshe-Ilahi Tak, Parhtey Hain Sab Salle ‘Alaa Muhammad
Izzat-o-Azmat Aur Toqeer Ki Miraj Hain Vo

From earth till the Divine Throne, all read Salle ‘alaa Muhammad
He is the acme of respect, honor and veneration

Kahaa Jin Ko Haq Ney Haazir-o-Naazir, Mubashir Aur Siraj um-Muneera
Yaseen-o-Taha, Muzammil-o-Mudassir Hain Vo

Whom Allah referred to as Present and Witnessing, the Giver of good news, the Light and Enlightening One
He is Yaseen, Taha, Muzammil and Mudassir

Rahey Salaamat Iman Apna, Ho Dast-e-Pak-e-Nabi Hasil
Hai Ye Tamannaa-e-Qalb, Zindagi Ka Haasil Hai vo

May our faith be preserved, may the Pure Hand of the Messenger be upon us
This is the desire of the heart, this is the achievement of life

(Prayers and Peace Be Upon Him and His Family)

The Nature of Fasting

Have you not seen the stick of incense?
Burn itself to ashes it must
So others might receive its fragrance
The nature of giving is such

Have you noticed the leaves of tea?
How they must withstand hot water
Soothing the nerves of one and many
Through their exquisite and sundry a flavor

Have you noticed the green trees?
How they must absorb the heat of the sun
Giving the traveler a shade to please
And producing life-sustaining oxygen

Have you not seen the ore of metal?
How it must melt in the heat of the kiln
So the impurities may burn or settle
And the precious metal we may dress in

Have you noticed the black coal?
How it must withstand tremendous pressure
For years and years to reach its goal
To become a diamond for our pleasure

Have you not seen our father and mother?
How they give up everything
So their children can be more than better
And can have the best upbringing

And our Beloved Prophet Muhammad
Countless Prayers and Peace of Allah Be Upon Him
How He stayed up all night, never tired
Continuously praying to Allah to forgive our sins

Such indeed is also the nature of fasting
To increase within us, the spirit of service
The self, must always be annihilating
And truly in this, is lasting bliss
