Volunteership

The lifeline of a healthy organization depends on the dedicated volunteership of those who realize the concept that an individual can and does make a difference in society. It has been proven in a recent study that those people who volunteer and are involved in helping others live longer and more fulfilling lives. This concept is not foreign to Islam in that the individual is always in the du'a or supplications of those being helped. Helping humanity and those in need is an essential part of Islam and at the heart of IECRC. We are certain that you will find that area which you always aspired to in helping others by volunteering at this organization.

Volunteers are of two types. Those that take on a responsibility and push it to the furthest limits with little or no direction and those that can help but really are not sure how and in which area. The IECRC is in need of both types of volunteers.

Generally, we need help in the following areas:

  • Zikr Hall Setup and Cleanup (Weekly)
  • Serving Food during the Langar-e-Qadriyya (Weekly Zikr Dinner)
  • Helping Patients during Healing Sessions (Bi-weekly)
  • Database Entry
  • Web Design, Development, and Maintenance
  • Giyarwi Shareef Setup and Cleanup (Monthly)
  • Newsletter Development (Quarterly)
  • Yearly Conference Setup, Cleanup, and Other Conference Activities (Yearly)
  • Volunteers for Arabic, Farsi, and Urdu to English translation
